Our History
Steve Barnholtz has been the President, and CEO of A Sound and Video Company (ASVC) since 1968. We are proud of our dedicated employees, most of whom have been with the company for many years. In fact, our employee experience averages an astounding 160+ years!
Our Approvals
ASVC has been an I.B.E.W. Local 1 member for 52 years and are licensed with St. Louis, St. Louis County, St. Charles, St. Peters and several other Electrical Inspection Departments.
Our inspections and permits for low voltage cabling and installations are called in using our Communications License. All work is accomplished by our workman and not third party installers and will meet or exceed NFPA and BOCA Codes.
ASVC holds several industry licenses, including a Communications Contractor license from the St Louis County license board. Our 'BuildZoom' score of 107 ranks in the top 6% of 23,328 Missouri licensed contractors.
ASVC is also highly rated by the Better Business Bureau and we belong to several St. Louis area Business groups. The company is an active member in the International Business Music Association (IBMA).
